John 19:25-27 (NIV)

25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman,[a] here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

If you are not amazed by this moment in time I would think something is wrong with you.  Here we have Jesus suffering on the cross, in the middle of saving humanity, and about to die, then He takes some of the little bit of breath He has left to see that His momma is taken care of.  This is God, but he is not too busy to take care of mom.  How important is mom to God. She is important enough to freeze time.  To stop all He is doing to look after her. Then again, mom, like God, set aside all she could be doing for herself to take care of us. Mom is not a mom for a day, but a life time. Honor her each and every day and God will bless you for it. Pastor Jeffery Lane
