Deeper Walk

2 Kings 2:7-10 (NIV)7 Fifty men from the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan. 8 Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.10 “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.”

A lady was asking me about the miracles God had done in my wife and I’s life.  He made my blind eyes see, gave our daughter back from deaths door, healed her out of a wheel chair, grew skin back on my whole hand that was burned off, and the list goes on.  She said she would like to see God do these things in her life.  I looked at her and replied: “Do you really?  Do you have any idea how hard or bad it was at the time.”  You see to have a miracle you have to go to the valley.”  Let me say to have a mountain top experience with God you have to go through the valley.  Are you willing to put yourself and family in God’s hands and say, Lord your will be done?  Think of Paul shipped wrecked floating in the in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea on a piece on drift wood.  Now I ask you don’t you think he was asking himself was I in God’s will?  Then God put in his heart “son I measured this sea in the palm of my hand be still your where I called you to be.” Only one prophet went across the others watched.                          Pastor Jeffery Lane
